Happy Valentine's Day

I went on a run with my friend Lisa, took my daughters to get donuts for breakfast, stopped by my friend Sarah's house to give her a birthday hug, Dallas my hubby is bringing sushi home for dinner tonight, I have a load of laundry going...aaaahhh, it's been a pretty good day!

I love documenting things.  Last week I pulled out my baby book my mom made for me and I pulled out Chaney's baby book to see how we compared in height at the age of 11.  Chaney is 3 inches taller than me at the same age.  I love that my kids are still growing and changing and the wonder of what they will look and be like some day.  As we were looking through Chaney's book, I had written about the day we brought her home from the hospital and were greeted by my mom/Grammy, her mom/Great Granny, and my sister Aunt Wendy.  This immediately started that lump in my throat, the tears welled up in my eyes, Chaney looks at me and says, "don't cry, now I'm going to cry."  So we both cried.  I told her, "it was such a special day and memory." When I went to go find her baby book to write this post, I was looking for the picture of this, but then realized, that image I had in my head is a memory and not a photo.  It's amazing how strong that memory is.  Do you have a photo or memory that gets you every time?

Over the next several weeks I plan on sharing about our journey to build our new home that is still under construction.  Hoping to figure out how to share pictures better as I am new to this blogging program.

Thank you for all of the facebook and blog love and comments yesterday!

  1. This memory makes me cry too. Granny never got to meet our babies. At least Aunt Joyce was here to fill in for her.
